Just a few days after the three girls left Italy, we welcomed our friends Beth and Chris to Italy. Beth was one of my roommates from college, we traveled around Sweden and Norway together in college, so it was fun to share another travel experience together!
I met Chris and Beth at the airport in Pisa. Since we were there, we make a quick stop at the leaning tower. (My second visit in less then a week!)
After introducing them to the amazing Italian Pizza, we met up with J and took them around Florence showing them the major sights. (Beth gave me a pretty nice complement, she said that my tour didn't bore her! Thanks Beth!) Here we are on the Ponte Vecchio.
Of course, we had to take the traditional "elevator picture."
We woke up to a beautiful day, it was the perfect day for our Fiat wine tour! (This was the same tour we did a few months ago with our friends Dana and Sonja. It was so fun and unique, we wanted to do it again!) Like I said, it was a beautiful day!! Amazing how the weather can change in just a few days!

Our tiny car was the perfect fit for the tiny roads of Tuscany. I honestly don't think the average American-sized car would even fit on these roads. You can kind of tell in this picture - J's head is actually sticking out of the car. Good thing it was a nice day so we could have the sunroof open!

We did a little shopping at the San Lorenzo Market. Chris and I bought the same sweatshirt!
The next morning, we got up early to climb up into the Duomo's Dome. It was beautiful day and definitely worth the 400+ steps!

Funny, they became Fiorentina fans too!! We do tend to bring people around to the purple!!
We had *brilliant* visit with these two! Thanks Beth and Chris for coming to our country and not getting bored! :o)
Glad to see you guys got to do the Fiat Tour again! Sonja and I think of it often. Thanks for the wonderful updates. We hope Beth and Chris had as much fun as we did, thanks to the wonderful Pietila hosts! :)
